PeerDB builds fast ETL for Postgres, streaming data from Postgres to data warehouses, queues, and storage engines. Founded by Sai Srirampur and Kaushik Iska, they solve the performance and feature limitations of existing ETL tools by taking a Postgres-native approach with optimizations like parallelized initial load and real-time CDC. They achieve 10x faster data movement than existing tools with sub-30 second data freshness at high throughput. PeerDB was acquired by ClickHouse in July 2024.
