Apollo Atomics builds compact pressurized water reactors that are 40x smaller than conventional nuclear plants. Founded by Assil Halimi, who holds a PhD in Nuclear Engineering from MIT and worked at Engie, EDF, and other major nuclear operators, and Drew Walker, who previously co-founded an electric boat startup, they solve the problem that existing nuclear takes over a decade to build while new small modular reactors won't be ready until 2035.
